Metal Injection Molding

Metal Injection Molding (MIM) is an excellent process for manufacturing parts of complex shapes in high volume.

The shape is created by molding, followed by debinding and sintering processes. We can MIM complex shaped Titanium parts that have excellent material properties, high geometrical repeatability and great surface finish.

MIM is the perfect choice for complex parts in high volume with high surface finish requirements and very good material properties.

Examples of great applications for MIM include:

  • Watch housings, cell phone cases
  • Aerospace fasteners
  • Gearwheels
  • Bike components
  • Multitools and knives
  • CRM: Feedthrough flanges, Housings, Terminal connector blocks & screws
  • Cervical plates & screws
  • Polyaxial Pedicle screws: body, tulip, load ring
  • Vertebral spacers
  • Artificial cervical & lumbar discs
  • Femoral Head / Femoral Ball / Acetabular Shell
  • Wrist plates & screws, ankle plates & screws, elbow plates & screws
  • Dental implants, mini implants, abutments, angled abutments, abutment screws, braces -brackets
  • Phacoemulsification tips, glaucoma stents
  • And many more…

With MIM, the shaping process requires a molding tool that can be manufactured to different standards as shown below.
